We have an exciting opportunity to join our waste and recycling team, working with our residents, contractors, and other stakeholders to help promote waste minimisation whilst maximising reuse and recycling.
Responsible for leading on all customer complaints and service enquiries related to the recycling and residual waste service. This will include carrying out kerbside inspections, door knocking to provide advice, and guidance to house holders, whilst liaising with the authority’s waste contractor and other internal and external partners.
The role will also include attending meetings and events, (some of which will be at weekends or evenings) producing and delivering presentations to community groups, parish councils and schools.
We want a dynamic, people focussed individual who is able to work on their own initiative. Our residents and other stakeholders are the experts in knowing what excellent services should look like and this role will be central in engaging with them.
Ideally, you will have experience in waste management with an emphasis on recycling but more importantly you will have great people and communication skills.
You will be well organised, with the ability to prioritise your workload and remain calm under pressure at all times.
The post holder will be expected to work across the district and should be able to travel independently to all locations.
If you think that you have the skills and personality needed to join our busy, friendly team then we look forward to hearing from you.
