As a Casual Community Ambassador, the focus of your role will be to engage, explain, encourage and provide advice and guidance across the Tendring district, operating in public facing settings, interacting with visitors, residents and businesses.
To provide uniformed presence through targeted patrols across the District.
The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to remain effective and operate calmly even in challenging situations, as well as the ability to network and engage closely with partners.
The ability to work cohesively in a small team, complete accurate and good quality written reports.
Training will be given with regard to powers and policy, including use of 2014 ASB legislation, problem solving and best practise along with the ability to deal with enforcement matters.
The post holder will be required to patrol within the Tendring District in all weathers. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be supplied. There is also a requirement to be flexible with hours as the post holder will be available to work weekends and bank holidays.
It is essential that the post holder has a full, clean driving licence.
