A new barn to store hay bales and agricultural equipment has been agreed for a farm in Ardleigh.
Steve Wright applied for permission for the structure clad in green box profile steel and would measure 12.2 metres wide by 24.4 long and 5.7 metres in height.
It is to be put up at Old Shields Farm in Waterhouse Lane, which was formerly a fruit farm and now keeps livestock and grows hay.
Tendring District Council (TDC) decided that the building did not need prior approval and fell under permitted development rights.
The barn will replace and existing polytunnel on the land and will relate to the rural area.
