Businesses in Tendring have the opportunity to sign up for funded training to help improve the skills of their staff.
Both WS Training and BEST Growth Hub workshops are offering programmes for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the District.
The support for companies will be at a fraction of the normal cost due to Government cash.
WS Training has delivered a quality service in the East of England for more than 20 years with experts in the field.
It is working in partnership with Ixion and the South East Local Enterprise Partnership to back-up those in the labour market by increasing skill levels, leading to an improvement in productivity through a growing and dynamic workforce.
The project will allow business to take the lead enabling more effective training and more secure outcomes all round.
Ixion will assist employers to recruit for the hard-to-fill digital related vacancies and find sustainable opportunities in key sectors.
Some courses are free and others are highly discounted.
The BEST Growth Hub funded workshop programme has been extended until the end of June.
Each company is able to attend a maximum of 21 hours of face to face workshops, or as many online workshops as they wish.
There are additional growth and change workshops aimed at SMSs with a minimum of five employees, trading no less than two years and delegates should have management responsibility.
Four of the workshops cover develop the person; develop the team; develop the business and make the change.
Giles Watling, Tendring District Council’s (TDC) Cabinet Member for Planning and Regeneration, said it is a fantastic opportunity which he hopes businesses will make the most of.
"The cost of training staff can often be pushed lower down the pecking order in a budget," he said.
"So these workshop programmes are absolutely ideal for those who want to train their staff without putting a large dent in the budget.
