A farmer in Little Clacton has been given the go ahead to build a new crop and storage building on his land in Little Clacton.
Martin Speck put in for planning permission for the seven metre high structure at Lodge Farm in Lodge Road.
The scheme will involve demolishing dilapidated existing buildings and silos on the holding of more than 500 acres of arable land which produces 1,800 tons of crops each year.
The existing buildings are of an age that makes them no longer efficient for modern farming methods.
There was no objection from Little Clacton Parish Council and no other representations were received.
TDC decided that the proposal is more sustainable and would have little impact on the surrounding area.
