Extra home allowed on village site

Tuesday, 11 July, 2017

Consent has been given for an extra home to be built on a site in Great Holland.

The proposal is for a grassed area of land next to three properties already under construction in Manor Road which were approved by a Government Inspector at appeal.

Although it is backland development Tendring District Council (TDC) considered it is appropriate.

It was not felt that the single story building would have a detrimental impact on neighbours and there was no objection from Essex County Council as the highway authority.

Frinton and Walton Town Council did oppose the scheme and three other letters of objection were received.
