PEP&CO teams up with Poundland to create new ‘shop-in-shop’ in Clacton-on-Sea
PEP&CO, Britain's fastest-growing fashion brand, has confirmed it will open its very first 'shop-in-shop' in Clacton-on-Sea on Friday 19 May and it will be the very first one to open in Essex.
The store - offering a full range of women's, men's and kids' fashion - will open inside sister company Poundland at 43-45 Pier Avenue. The expansion will also include opening the store’s doors onto West Avenue.
The shop-in-shop will feature PEP&CO’s full range - but not at the expense of Poundland’s existing offer. Through clever use of existing space, the Pier Avenue Poundland store has the capacity to accommodate a full PEP&CO without reducing existing ranges.
PEP&CO’s managing director, Adrian Mountford, is anticipating that the new shop-in-shop will have a huge impact for Clacton-on-Sea’s fashion conscious shoppers.
Adrian said: "We can’t wait to bring PEP&CO to Poundland in Clacton-on-Sea. We’ve had a lot interest already from the local community and can’t wait to get started.
"PEP&CO is all about delivering family fashion on a budget, whether that’s for men, women or children, and we’ll have something for everyone, from our famous leggings and jeggings, to this summer’s must-have styles."
Rachel Fryer, Tendring District Council’s (TDC) Town Centre Coordinator, added: "We have been in talks with Poundland for some time in a bid to get them to reopen the doors on West Avenue and we certainly believe that this will help boost footfall for the other traders in West Avenue."

Since February 2017, the value fashion brand has already opened over 30 shop-in-shops in Poundlands across the UK, with the first opening in Hanley. The retailer plans to open an additional 50 shop-in-shops at Poundland over 42 days later this year.
By October, PEP&CO will be in available in around 170 locations - and is set to bring the brand to over 570 other Poundlands with a selection of key best sellers in the stores.
The launch of PEP&CO is one of the ways Poundland is being refreshed and repowered for its seven million customers each week.
