The owners of a residential and holiday home park have been given extra time to comply with conditions made when an expansion of the site was given the go ahead.
Tingdene Parks Ltd, which operates Sacketts Grove in Jaywick Lane, was granted permission for 135 static caravans in lieu of 40 statics and 40 tourers previously agreed.
The application included an extension of the occupancy period to 10.5 months a year - as well as landscaping and an open space for recreational purposes.
It also involved the creation of an adventure golf course instead of an indoor swimming pool.
Attached to the approval were conditions for a detailed surface water drainage scheme to be provided to Tendring District Council (TDC); a scheme to minimise the risk of off-site flood risk during construction and a drainage management plan.
The final timeline for these was six months after 4th November 2015.
The company asked for the conditions to be varied and that has now been accepted by the Council.
While the time period for submitting the information has long expired it was felt the changes could take place – provided the approved details are put in place and maintained.
Further details for the construction phase of the expansion still need to be provided.
TDC received six letters opposing the variation of the conditions from those who felt that the company had not met the previous deadlines and should not be given more time.
There were also concerns about surface water issues since the development on the existing site started.
