Welcome to our Forward Plan

We are publishing the Plan so that you know which major decisions we are planning to take.  Please see the latest Forward Plan on the right hand side.

The basis of the agreed timetable is for Members to have approximately one to two weeks following publication of the Forward Plan to notify the Democratic Services Manager of any proposed decisions they would like the relevant overview and scrutiny committee to consider enquiring into.  The deadline for such notifications is seven clear working days before the date of the next meeting of the relevant overview and scrutiny committee.  This will give officers time to prepare an addendum report on the identified decisions and for it to be sent to Members.

The Plan sets out for the next two months:

• A short description of matters under consideration and including any key decisions and details as to what these are and the date on which, or period during which, the decision is to be made;
• Who is responsible for taking the decisions;
• The documents to be submitted to the decision maker for consideration and details of how to receive copies; and
• A note that other documents relevant to the decision may be submitted to the decision maker and details of how to receive copies;

To keep you up to date with our work a new Plan will be published each month at least 14 days before the start of that month - that is why you will sometimes see 2 Plans on the website - the 'current' Plan and the 'updated' version that will replace it. To see which Plan is in force at the time of viewing please check the period that each covers - they will be different by one month.

Copies of the Forward Plan are also available at the Council's offices at the Town Hall, Station Road, Clacton-on-Sea between the hours of 8.45 a.m. and 5.15 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 8.45 a.m. and 4.45 p.m. Friday. Each Plan will also be available on this website.
