Chairman of the Council
Cllr Stock, who represents Ardleigh and Little Bromley, was chosen at a meeting of the Full Council on May 7.
Following his election Cllr Stock said: "I want to ensure I take all measures possible to live up to the Council's motto of 'For The Good of All'. I want to make my chairmanship relevant to all corners of the District and try to bring the Council to the people, ensuring that those in our rural communities are heard as loudly as those in our larger towns."
The Chairman's Charity Fund
Individual children and young people are set to benefit from this year's Tendring District Council's Chairman's Charity Fund.
The Chairman has decided to change the way the fund operates by considering a range of ways to help particular individuals to achieve something that they might not be able to do without financial assistance. It could be funding a young person’s transport costs to college for them to study for A-levels.
The Chairman wants to work with all 60 Councillors to come up with the right scheme and has asked for ideas. He will look at setting up a fund committee to decide where the money goes at the end of the year. Further details will be announced as the initiative takes shape.
