There are a wealth of training and networking events held throughout the District and in Essex that offer information on Funding, Business Growth and Training opportunities that are either free or heavily subsidised.
Funded Training Available to Businesses in Tendring
Businesses in Tendring have the opportunity to sign up for funded training to help improve the skills of their staff, offered through WS Training and BEST Growth Hub, at a fraction of the normal cost due to Government financial support.
WS Training has delivered a quality service in the East of England for more than 20 years with experts in the field. It is working in partnership with Ixion and the South East Local Enterprise Partnership to back-up those in the labour market by increasing skill levels, leading to an improvement in productivity through a growing and dynamic workforce.
Some courses are free and others are highly discounted. Each company is able to attend a maximum of 21 hours of face to face workshops, or as many online workshops as they wish.
Giles Watling, Tendring District Council’s (TDC) Cabinet Member for Planning and Regeneration, said it is a fantastic opportunity which he hopes businesses will make the most of.
“The cost of training staff can often be pushed lower down the pecking order in a budget,” he said. “So these workshop programmes are absolutely ideal for those who want to train their staff without putting a large dent in the budget."
Anyone wanting further information should contact Peter Doolin, TDC’s Business Advisor by emailing email@example.com or calling on 01255 686352.
