Street lighting which is situated on Public Highway land is the responsibility of Essex County Council. To report a fault on any such lighting please contact Essex County Council's 24 hour fault reporting line

If you are unsure whether the lighting you wish to make a report on is situated on Public Highway or not you can check our list of Private Street Lighting maintained by Tendring District Council.

If you wish to report a fault with any lighting units which appear on this list please email lighting@tendringdc.gov.uk or call 01255 686941. This number is manned on a part-time basis (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 9am to 2pm, Wednesday 9am to 4.30pm). Outside of these hours or if the line is busy, your call will be directed to an answerphone. Please leave a short message and you will be contacted at the earliest opportunity.

Any faults on units not listed here should be reported to Essex County Council.
