Town Square & Leisure Land Events


Events on The Town Square

Since being completed in 2007 the Town Square has been host to all kinds of events from Charity Fundraisers and Public Awareness Campaigns to Food Festivals and Busking Competitions. If you would like to book the Town Square for an event, you will need to complete an Event Application Form which is available to download below.

Events on Leisure Land

There are other areas of land owned by the Council that can be used for events and some of the more popular ones are Harwich Green, Bathhouse Meadow, The Naze and Martello Bay. As with the Town Square to hold an event on leisure land you will need to complete an Event Application Form which is available to download below.

Completed and signed Application Forms should be forwarded at least 6 - 8 weeks prior to your event to:

Event Guidance Notes and Event Guidance Notes Checklist: This gives general advice regarding the safety considerations when arranging any type of event.

Event Application Form: To be completed, signed and returned to the Council.

Terms and Conditions: Please ensure that you can comply with all the terms and conditions, where applicable, and then sign and return the form with the above Application.

Risk Assessment Guidance Notes and Risk Assessment Guidance Form: The risk assessment form should be completed and retained by the organiser for future reference and a copy forwarded to the Council with the completed application form.

Safety Inspection Checklist: For use when carrying out the site inspections immediately prior to, during and after the event.

Accident Report Form: Following any accident at the event, this should be completed for each person injured and a copy sent to the Council.

Event Participation List: You may need to complete this form for certain types of event. The Council will advise you if this is the case and your application is agreed.
