SEARCH IS ON FOR INTRUDERS AT TOWN'S SWIMMING
POOL
Tendring District Council (TDC) officers are working with Police
in a bid to track down intruders who broke into Frinton and Walton
Swimming Pool.
Those responsible left empty-handed but caused some minor damage
at the site in Walton.
A staffroom window was smashed, an attempt was made to break
another window and a crack was discovered in the fire doors.
Martin Webb, TDC's Pools Manager, said that CCTV footage of the
incident has been handed over to Police officers.
"The Council takes this type of incident very seriously and
hopefully those responsible will be tracked down with the help of
the CCTV pictures," he said.
"Nothing was taken and fortunately the damage was fairly minor
and there was no disruption to the services provided to residents
at the site."
Mr Webb said that Council staff ensured that the building was
quickly boarded up and made secure for the night.
The incident took place at around 11pm on Thursday September
17.
Anyone who has any information on who is responsible is asked to
contact the Police. |
