Unfortunately I was quite limited with pictures this week, as some areas are only showing gradual signs of progression.

Week 8

A lot of 'noticeable' changes happening this week, with the steel work for the spa extension finally being erected.

It only took 2 days to get this far! You can get an idea of the size:

New dance studio flooring has begun, with inital sheets laid on Monday. It looks strange seeing a floor at that height!

Now this is a seriously impressive bit of kit! It takes the fresh cement from the mixer, and then pumps it through a small pipe into a large flexi-hose, up to the first floor dance studio.

Should take a few days to dry, before they begin laying the new sprung flooring:

Works have progressed upstairs, with metalwork being erected on the bar balcony:

Things are really progressing well at present, and hopefully next week I can give updates on some of the following:

  • Metalwork for the new cafe extension and demolition of roofing
  • Further works on the bar patio and dance studio
  • Continued works on spa extension including cement on first floor, and start of brickwork

Week 10

This week saw several changes in the spa extension, with the concrete being spread on the first floor and drainage being laid in and around the ground floor:
