Week 4
Over the past week, there's been a lot happening in and around
the centre, although it may not be too noticeable to some; things
such as the important electrical re-wire of upstairs has begun and
the new pool hall fire exist has been completed. I've taken lots of
pictures of works that have been carried out, and I hope to be
following them up with completion photos over the next couple of
weeks.
Work begins on demolition of rear pool balcony fire exit
staircase:

Work upstairs to the floor, electrical ducting and bar patio
wall:

Works have continued out on the spa extension. Several areas
have now been dug for laying foundations:

They're getting on really well out the back. Mainly all initial
foundations have been dug for the spa extension and filled with
concrete. These will take around a week or so to fully set, so I
don't expect to see any walls etc being built just yet, but is
seems to be coming along very nicely.
Also the deliveries are coming in thick and fast:

For the Pool hall fire exit, a new door has been knocked through
into the deep end area of the pool hall:

A lot is due to be happening this coming week, with work
starting on demolition in the creche/meeting room area and Mark
Wilcox's old office, ready to start the new cafe extension. Having
spent the last week clearing it, we finally finished on Sunday.
What a job that was!

Week 5
Work began on demolition of the old creche/meeting room area
this weeks and the hoarding going up across the front of the
centre.
What's left of Mark's office and the creche:

Hoarding begins to go up everywhere:

Works continue upstairs.
New wall in front of the old cellar stairs:

New floor laid where the old pool staircase used to be:

Work has continued on the pool hall fire exits, with the
completion of the new door. They have also begun bricking up the
old exits:

Due to adverse weather conditions, not much has been happening
out the back on the spa extension:

With several delays this week, the workload is mounting. But
hopefully with some better weather on the way, things can move
forward and really progress over the next few weeks.
Week 6
Things have progressed with all the hoarding across the front. A
few minor adjustments were made to enable the public to use the
exit door in reception, and both "site" entrances were
completed.
Added room in front of exit door:

Inside the hoarding:

All painted and complete:

More works have been undertaken upstairs, with walls beginning
to appear:

The clearance of the old creche/Mark's office has continued,
with plans of the front wall demolition over the next few days, now
the hoarding is up and secure.
Sorry Mark it's all gone!

Demolition then starts on the front of this area. The clear up
begins on Monday:

Out the back, work continues with the foundations for the new
lift going in:

Metal structures for ancillary hall arrived:

Work began on Friday erecting the new pillars and first floor in
the ancillary hall:

They have finally begun works on the new pool staircase, which
is really taking shape:
