Week 11

Work has continued this week in several areas, but with the majority of the activity being focusing on the electrical/groundwork side of things, not a lot has changed visually from last week.

Work has progressed in the dance studio and the new air conditioning unit is taking shape.

Outside is also making progress.

Work continued on the cafe roofing and also the brickwork at the front of the ancillary hall, where the extractor fan units were.

Brickwork has also started on the spar extension with walls being built around the footings.

Also work on the roofing has begun, so netting has been installed to avoid any accidents.

Hutton's required access to a drain located on the skate park to complete works on the spa extension, so Playworld Systems were called in to remove a section of the ramp.

This concludes this week's update. Next week I should have further updates on upstairs and the ground floor of the ancillary hall.

Week 12

Work is progressing very well in and over the past week, things have really begun to take shape in the ancillary hall/dance studio and spa extension.

Concreting has begun on the ground floor of the spa extension and all the drainage has now been encased in concrete:

The roof has now gone on in the first floor changing area:

Alot more noise was created when the new entrance for the Cafe was made into the reception:

Work has taken shape in the ancillary hall:

Things have progressed in the dance studio as well, with the suspended ceiling and air conditioning units being installed:

Last but not least, work has continued in the old cafe/bar area and on the bar balcony:

And that concludes this weeks update, but further works to the spa extension, new cafe area and ancillary hall, ground floor, are planned for the coming week, including:

• Walls being erected in the spa extension
• Air conditioning units to be installed in ground floor of ancillary hall
• Removal of roofing on old creche area, ready for start of metal work to new cafe extension.

Week 13

Quite a few visual changes have happened this week, with the dance studio being painted a warming sky blue colour and the ground floor of the spa extension really taking shape.

First, the upstairs and the new studio:

The new gym is being dug ready for the wiring:

The cafe extension now has the new entrance and the roofing is being removed:

The ground floor of the ancillary hall has begun to take shape, and due to the works on the roof above the reception entrance, is going to be used as a temporary entrance to the foyer:

And finally the ground floor spa extension, which has progressed over the last week or so with walls being built and the initial shape of the spa being dug out.

That's all for this week, but works planned for next week include:

• Removal of the roofing above the entrance foyer
• Further works to flooring upstairs
• Erecting of metal work on new cafe extension, which arrived on Friday.
