Royal Aero Club Air Races

Saturday 17 & Sunday 18 April

flying from Great Oakley Airfield

The Royal Aero Club is a long established and prestigious organisation that holds aviation events for private pillots.

There will be three races taking place over the weekend with 60 light aircraft of varying age and type, flying a course south out of Great Oakley over the coastline at Great Holland, up past Frinton & Walton seafronts, Harwich point and then Bathside Bay.

For a considerable part of the route the aircraft will fly at high speed and low altitude over inshore waters, providing a spectacular sight for spectators on the shoreline and cliff tops. Frinton, Walton, Harwich and Dovercourt will all be ideal spectator points for the races.

Further details to follow in due course. Please watch this space for updates.
