Memorial Trees - The Council will consider the
planting of Memorial trees on open spaces where a fee is paid.

Community Tree Planting - Local
groups and organisations, as well as schoolchildren and individuals
in Tendring were given the chance to get involved in helping to
plant 10,000 new trees across the District last year. The trees
were put into eight sites in Clacton, Frinton and Walton, Harwich
and Dovercourt, and Weeley.
This green initiative was possible following a
successful bid by Tendring District Council to Essex County Council
for £30,000. This was following a pledge by EEC to plant 250,000
new trees throughout the County and invited applications for
funding.
