Four pond areas have been created at Brook Country Park. The areas
were excavated during Autumn 2010 in naturally wet areas of the
park. The ponds may dry out during the summer months but will
naturally re-fill with water again in the
autumn.
The
ponds have been left to populate naturally with plants and
wildlife. It is hoped that common pond wildlife such as newts,
frogs, dragonflies, diving beetles, pond skaters and many more will
be attracted to the areas.
