Maze planting at Brook Country Park

The creation of a maze took place at Brook Country Park during Autumn 2010.

Children from Great Clacton Junior School and volunteers helped to plant and mulch a total of approximately 900 hornbeam trees.

The maze is circular in shape and covers an area of approx 380m2. The centre of the maze is marked by a silver birch tree surrounded by benches, which provide a well deserved resting place for those who manage to find their way to the centre. The trees planted in the maze are 90cm in height and it will take several years for them to become established. Once fully grown, it is hoped the maze will provide many hours of entertainment and fun for visitors to the park.
