Did you know that hundreds of dogs are injured and maimed every year on British beaches by discarded fishing lines and hooks. Please be careful and do not discard fishing equipment that may be harmful to dogs.

STILLWATERS AND RIVERS

Green Lane Farm Fishery, Weeley (off A133 Clacton bypass)
Mixed coarse fishery comprising two lakes of 5 acres and three quarters of an acre. Open all year round. Day tickets available.

Disused gravel pit of three quarters of an acre. Weekly ticket available from Lake View Angling Club.
One peg specifically for disabled anglers.

Alton water, Stutton (Nr Ipswich)
Largest area of inland water in Suffolk. Visitor Centre, cafeteria, cycle hire, nature reserve. Coarse fishing (mainly bream and pike) by day ticket available from the Visitor Centre.

RIVERS

Holland Brook
Holland Brook is a small coastal river, slow flowing with roach as the dominant species in this mixed coarse fishery. Fishing restricted to weekdays only between 16 June - 14 March. Weekly permits (no day tickets) are available and must be purchased in advance from Brian Dean Tackle, Pallister Road, Clacton on Sea. 01255 425992.

There is open access to part of the river at Holland on Sea.
