The Council's conservation service is contactable through the Nature Warden based at Northbourne Depot on 01255 686680 or lwoodrow@tendringdc.gov.uk. This service can give advice on the protection and enhancement of the local environment and wildlife, and also offer advice as to how to obtain grants to develop areas of the countryside for public use or education.

The Council also has a Heritage and Conservation team based at the council offices in Weeley, and their responsibility covers the historic, built & natural environment. Find out more on our heritage and conservation pages.
