| Can I apply for an oral
hearing? |
|
Not if you are requesting a review on your
eligibility to join the Housing Register or to have your details
removed from the register. But under certain circumstances,
homeless applicants or someone acting on their behalf may make
representations in writing to the local authority in connection
with the review of their case. These circumstances will apply where
the council consider that there is an irregularity in the original
decision or in the manner in which it was made but are minded to
nonetheless make a decision against the interests of the applicant.
If such a situation occurs then that person or their representative
may make oral representation to the Council, which will be
considered by Members of the Council's Appeals Sub
Committee. |
