Some
occupiers do not enjoy the right to be evicted by the Court. These
are called excluded licencees. The only times a landlord does not
need to bring Court proceedings are where;
- it is a
lodging arrangement and the lodger shares living accommodation with
the landlord, for example, a kitchen or bathroom
- the letting
was for a holiday
- certain
designated hostel lettings
In these
cases, the landlord only needs to give reasonable notice and it
does not even have to be in
writing. |
