If you have mobility problems and need a level access shower or stairlift etc. and are seeking grant aid to pay for the works, your first point of contact is the Adult Social Care line on 0845 6037630.

They will arrange for an Occupation Therapist to visit you to assess what works and adaptions would help you. They will then pass the details to Tendring District Council and the Tendring Home Improvement Agency who will process and adminster a grant for you. The Tendring Home Improvement Agency also holds a list of approved contractors who can carry out the works.

N.B. A test of financial resources is carried out to determine whether you would be eligible to receive grant aid.
