Disabled Facilities grants (means tested) are available for works needed to assist disabled persons get into and around their home and to have essential facilities/amenities provided.

The first step is to contact the Adult Social Care line on 0845 6037630. They will arrange for an Occupation Therapist to visit you to assess what works and adaptions would help you. They will then pass the details to Tendring District Council and the Tendring Home Improvement Agency who will process and adminster a grant for you. The Tendring Home Improvement Agency also holds a list of approved contractors who can carry out the works.
