We aim to help residents within Tendring to save energy within their home. Energy efficiency work contributes to tackling climate change, increasing the provision of affordable warmth in Tendring and can save money on your fuel bills. To do this we: Refer people to home insulation grant schemes Coordinate Tendring's Affordable Warmth Strategy Provide energy saving advice Develop new carbon reduction and sustainable energy initiatives

Home insulation

For the next few months we have negotiated FREE HOME INSULATION for all owners and privately renting tenants in Tendring. This means that, regardless of income, you are able to get free cavity wall insulation and free loft insulation.

There may be limitations as to the size of the property. If this is the case;

• For any extra Cavity Wall Insulation there may be a charge of £5 per square metre
• For Loft Insulation above the 61mm limitation there will be a top up charge from £169

Please call one of the companies and arrange a survey as they will be able to provide more information when they inspect your property. The inspection is free of charge.
