Our Homelessness Strategy provides a baseline assessment of our
current position in relation to homelessness and sets out a way
forward for the future. It also details how we will ensure that
services develop in line with needs and aspirations of local
people.
The strategy will help shape and develop services for people who
are homeless, including those that are not "statutorily" homeless,
and those in need of housing advice within Tendring. It also aims
to raise the profile of homelessness and increase the understanding
of the problems faced by homeless people.
Our aim is to prevent, wherever possible, homelessness occurring
but in those cases where it does occur, provide a comprehensive
assessment, support and accommodation service which is responsive
to the needs of clients and that is aimed at preventing the
re-occurrence of homelessness.
