| The role of the Mobile Support
Officer |
|
We employ Mobile Support Officers to provide cover for
residents when the Scheme Manager is not working or is on
holiday.
Mobile Support Officers work a set number of hours each day, on
a rota basis. Outside these hours, the Mobile Support Officer on
evening duty is on call to respond to any emergencies. The duties
of the Mobile Support Officers are generally the same as those of
the Scheme Manager, there is one important difference between their
two roles. Whereas each Scheme Manager has only one scheme to look
after, the Mobile Support Officer may have to visit several schemes
while on duty. This means that during their visit to any scheme
they will only be able to contact each resident on the call system,
rather that visiting each individual property. They will always
check the flats of residents who do not respond to this call and
visit those who are unwell or have asked to see them for any other
reason. |
