The Careline Control Centre provides an out-of-hours
monitoring service when the Scheme Manager is off duty. The Control
Centre is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, by operators
trained to give help and advice. When they receive a call, the
operators will initially reassure the caller, identify the problem
and arrange for the necessary assistance to be provided.
This telephone monitoring and alarm system means that you can
maintain an independent life, safe in the knowledge that help is
always at hand if you need it. As well as using the telephone unit
to call for help, you can use the pendant or the pull cord
provided. When activated, these alert the Tendring Careline Control
Centre operators that you are trying to contact them. Then, even if
you are unable to speak, they will be able to call up your details
on their computer and arrange help for you.
As well as providing a valuable service for the residents of
sheltered housing, the council's emergency alarm system -
Tendring
Careline - can be installed in any other council or private
property in the district for a small weekly
charge. |
