Letting selling or losing your property

We have no objection to you letting your property, but you must tell us about any changes to your address, or that of any managing agent you use to look after your property. You, or your nominated managing agent, will be responsible for making sure your tenants keep to the terms of your lease agreement. As their landlord and our leaseholder, you would still be responsible for their actions and for paying any charges relating to your property.

If your property remains empty for more than 30 days, this could affect our building insurance cover and you may not be covered for all risks. Please let us know if this is to happen. You should also check for any exclusion on your home contents insurance cover.

As a landlord, you are responsible for making sure that gas fires and boilers in your property are kept in good order and checked every 12 months. You will need to keep a record of these checks, which should be carried out by a CORGI-registered contractor.
