  • 1 February 2012 - Council garages for rent
    We have two council garages available for rent in Bemerton Gardens, Kirby Cross; one in Mary Warner Road, Ardleigh; one in Hilltop Crescent; one in Hilltop Rise, Weeley and four in Merivale Road, Lawford.


  • 12 December 2011 - Housing outreach advice surgeries
    The Brightlingsea surgery will be run by Philip Mills, our Estates Officer, and the Manningtree surgery by Matthew Wicks, our Senior Estates Officer, to provide an opportunity for all tenants living in these areas to discuss any housing issues or queries they may have. The Manningtree surgery has also teamed up with an officer from the Benefit and Revenue service to answer any queries on benefit claims and entitlements. It will also give an opportunity to discuss the possibilities for tenants to participate in the services that Housing provides.


  • 9 November 2011 - Opportunity to join our Tenants Panel
    Are you interested in shaping the housing services that you receive? If so, we are currently looking for new members to join the Tenants Panel. Our Tenants Panel was formed in 2001 to represent and promote tenant opinion and to make sure that this is central to the delivery of our housing services.


  • 9 November 2011 - Tackling tenancy fraud
    Tenancy fraud can take many forms and can occur at any stage during a tenancy - for example, obtaining a Council tenancy by giving false information, not living in the property or abandoning a council tenancy.


  • 7 November 2011 - Low cost home ownership opportunities
    There are low cost home ownership properties available at Heron Way, Dovercourt and you may be eligible for assistance through the Firstbuy scheme (pdf document) which can assist first-time buyers with a deposit to purchase a property. You will need to register with Homebuy Options.
