| How quickly can I expect an answer to my
housing application? |
|
You will be sent a letter within 10 working
days of the Council receiving your form, telling you whether your
application to join the Housing Register has been accepted. If you
are advised that you cannot join the Register you will be told the
reason why not and also about
your right to ask for a review of the decision. Eligible
applicants will be issued with a registration card with a reference
number, which should be used in future correspondence. In some
circumstances, we may need to send you some other forms so that
your application can be fully assessed. We will also advise you of
your initial priority for housing and, depending on this, we may
also tell you that someone will come and visit you to inspect your
present home and assess your
application. |
