| How does the Council select someone for
a property? |
|
The Council will offer accommodation to those
people at the very top of the housing register. There will be some
lettings that fall outside of the normal pointing scheme. Examples
of these are:
- Nominations to the Council from local housing association
partners who provide temporary accommodation for homeless
households;
-
Nominations to the Council from Essex Women's
Refuge Mobility Scheme;
-
Nominations received from the Agricultural
Dwellings House Advisory Committee;
-
Nominations from Affordable Rural Housing
Schemes;
-
Management transfers;
-
Applications under the Council's Transfer
Under-Occupation Scheme.
If the above nominations or applications are
approved, they will be awarded a Category B status and will be
considered on waiting time
only. |
