Rechargeable Repairs

Description

Each year, we spend large amounts on repairing empty properties and getting them ready for occupation. While some of this work is due to normal wear and tear, a lot is for repairing items that have been damaged - either deliberately or through neglect - and on removing belongings and rubbish left by the former tenant. To recover these costs, we have a system called recharging. This means that if we have to remove any items or rubbish from your home after you leave, we will charge you what it cost us to have this work done. We will also charge you for any repairs we have to do because of your misuse or neglect of your home.

During your tenancy, we also make a charge for any repairs we need to do for safety or other reasons - even if these would normally be your responsibility - or repairs that are needed because of damage you have caused.
