Description

All Councils have been set a target of raising the standard of all its properties by the year 2010 by the Government. This target, known as the Decent Homes Standard is driving the Council's programme of modernisation in your homes.

To meet the Decent Homes Standard, all properties must:

• meet the current legal minimum standard for housing;
• be in a reasonable state of repair;
• have reasonably modern facilities and services;
• provide a reasonable degree of thermal comfort.
