Family support services that may be available to you and
your child include
- regular contact with a social worker;
- advice and counselling;
- support for the family in the home;
- assistance with parenting skills;
- liaison with other agencies including education and
health;
- advice and information on child care services;
- information about organisations who may be able to offer
independent help and support.
Some of these services are provided directly by social workers
and family support workers; some by Essex County Council family
centres; and some are provided by arrangement with organisations
like Homestart and other local voluntary groups.
