Quality of Life and Quality of Environment

What needs to be done to secure a better environment and a better life for the earth's peoples? How do we create the kind of world which we all want for ourselves - the kind of inheritance we want for our children?

Local Agenda 21 is about achieving these goals. It is about action to enhance local quality of life and the quality of our environment. It is done by people for people and for the natural world.

'Local' is the key word. Local Agenda 21 involves individuals and the community. It is an agenda for action involving everyone.
