Bulky Items Collection Service

Bulky item collection

If you have items of furniture or electrical goods in a good state of repair then Tendring Reuse and Employment Enterprise (TREE) may be able to collect them from you free of charge. The item will be cleaned and tested for safety and sold at low cost to raise funds that support people with learning difficulties training for work. For more details visit the TREE web site or telephone 01255 863007.

The Tendring Furniture Scheme also operates a service to collect donated furniture items and pass them on to people on a very low income. For more information visit the Tendring Furniture Scheme web site or telephone them on 01255 476068.

However if your item is not suitable for reuse, the Council's contractors Veolia Environmental Services, provide a chargeable service. They can remove most bulky household items such as beds, chairs, carpets and also white goods e.g. washing machines, fridges and freezers.

For further information including the current charges or to arrange a collection, please call Veolia direct on 01255 431620.

If you are able to transport bulky items yourself then they can be taken to your local Household Waste and Recycling Centre and disposed of free of charge.
