Public Access to Planning Records


Using Planning Public Access you can:

  • register your details and be updated on the progress of planning cases
  • view details of planning applications including decision notices, comments and plans
  • locate a property using 'Property Search'.
  • find an individual application if you know the reference number
  • search weekly lists of all current applications and recent planning decisions
  • check for planning enforcement on properties
  • see details of planning appeals

Once you have found a property or planning application you can:

  • view limited details of computerised historic applications dating back to 1990/91
  • follow the progress of a current planning application appeal or enforcement case
  • comment on applications currently under consideration. Comments of a racist nature will not be considered and may be referred to the Equality and Human Rights Commission or the Police for investigation

Submitting Comments About Planning Applications

Planning officers take all comments received via Planning Public Access into account prior to making a decision. To submit comments online about a planning application you first need to find the application using the "Public Access" links above. When the application details have been selected you will see a 'Make a public comment' button. Click the button and complete the form then click 'Submit' at the bottom of the form.

Comments of a racist nature on a planning application will not be considered and may be referred to the Equality and Human Rights Commission or the Police for investigation.
