We accept planning applications on line
using the Planning Portal -

The Planning Portal is:
- a resource for the guidance and information on making planning
applications.
- a major resource for study and research of planning related
matters.
On line application submission allows you to fill in shortened,
simplified application forms and certificates, attach drawings and
send your application to the Council over the Internet.
Payment of the fees is currently not available on line. Please
send a cheque to the address below.
If you have not used this service before, you may find it useful
to see an -
on line tutorial which takes you through the
processes involved.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
If you are not attaching your plans electronically to the
application, we require four (4) paper copies of all plans and
drawings to be submitted to the Council, at the address below, and
any payments required within 5 working days of the online
submission.
These must be clearly marked with the reference number assigned
by the Planning Portal to the on line application. Hard copy
drawings should be sent to:
Customer Services Manager, Planning Department,
Tendring District Council, The Council Offices, Thorpe Road,
Weeley, Essex CO16 9AJ
The council has limited the number of file formats that it can
accept and process.
Text File formats limited to - 'doc', 'pdf',
txt', or 'xls'.
Scanned and Image Files formats are -
'tif', jpg' or 'bmp'.
At present the council will not accept Video clip files.
The simplest way to submit drawings on line is in Adobe 'pdf'
format.
