Enforcement Policy

Fair and effective planning enforcement is essential to protect your quality of life and for those who work in and visit Tendring. It also protects the quality of the District's built and natural environment.

Our decision about enforcement can have implications for many people, either directly or indirectly.

Enforcement Policy

It is your right to expect that we will maintain the integrity of the planning processes and those harmful activities will be dealt with fairly, quickly and effectively.

We have therefore signed up to the 1998 Concordat that sets out the Principles of Good Enforcement Practice. We have also produced our own Tendring Planning Enforcement Policy.
