The Public Inquiry into the local plan started on Sept
12th 2006. The Planning Inspector appointed to hear objections is
Mr Paul Dobsen MA (Oxon) DipTP MRTPI FRGS. A procedural Pre Inquiry
Meeting was held on 6th June 2006. At this meeting Mr Dobsen set
out how the Inquiry will take place and set dates for any further
evidence to be submitted.
The final hearing session of the Inquiry took place on January
25th. The Inspector formally closed the whole
Inquiry at 10am on April 24th 2007 at the Princes Theatre,
Town Hall, Clacton-on-Sea.

Core Document List
A list of all
Tendring's Core Documents was produced and wherever possible an
electronic copy is available of those listed documents. The
Programme Officer at the Local Plan Inquiry Office held a library
of core documents for public reference during the Inquiry.
Council's Pre Inquiry Changes
The Council has made a number of
pre inquiry changes to the Local Plan re-deposit version (Nov
2005).
Council's Topic Papers
The Council produced a number of
topic papers for the Inquiry. They explain the background to
the Council's position on a number of important issues.
