Tendring District's Local Development Scheme (pdf) is now approved and the Local Development Framework Programme(pdf) is now available

In short, the Local Development Scheme (LDS) sets out all the documents that Tendring District Council is proposing to produce as part of the new Local Development Framework (LDF). It also provides a programme for the preparation and review of each of the planning documents (available from the link above) that will be relevant for the district. The LDS is therefore the starting point for the local community to find out what the current planning policies for the Tendring District are. It also indicates the stages involved in processing the existing Replacement Local Plan through to adoption and commencement of the new Local Development Documents (LDDs) that will eventually replace the existing Local Plan. The programme set out in this document takes into account the Council's constitutional arrangements for handling decisions on strategic planning issues of this nature.
