Neil Stock, Leader of the Council said "Cabinet look forward to a smooth transition from the ex-administration alliance. They plan to breathe new life into democracy in Tendring. They will be a Cabinet to trust".

One of the first moves towards openness was to invite the opposition to take the chair of the Scrutiny Committee guaranteeing transparency.
