Seafront Team Help Injured Toddler

Clacton Beach Patrol Team helped a mother and toddler after the 17-month-old boy hit his head on a Pier support on the beach.

The pair – along with other family members – were enjoying the sunshine on the town’s West Beach today when the incident happened.

The anxious mother rushed her son up to the team’s station on the Lower Promenade and the boy was looked after by Senior Seafront Warden Michelle Perry.

Michelle gave the boy primary first aid and called for paramedics.

“He had a cut on the head and we called the paramedics to come and check him over and make sure that he was ok,” she said.

“The boy was able to return to his family who are from the Clacton area.”
