No Action To Be Taken Against Animal Sanctuary
Tendring District Council (TDC) Environment Officers will be
taking no action against a popular charity after its efforts to
reduce the noise of barking dogs have proved successful. Measures
brought in by those running the Clacton Animal Aid site in The
Street, Little Clacton, have satisfied residents who complained to
the Council.
Officers went back to the premises yesterday (March 10) and were
happy that improvements had been made so that the barking no longer
represented a statutory nuisance - although it had not been totally
eliminated. Alan Stypulkowski, Assistant Head of Environmental
Services at TDC, said that it was a successful outcome.
"Following the visit we are satisfied that measures to reduce
the noise nuisance from the barking have been taken by Clacton
Animal Aid," he said."We have confirmation from the original
complainants that they feel there has been a marked reduction in
the level of the noise.
"In those circumstances the Council will not be taking any
further action at this time. Should there be further complaints in
the future we will need to go back any investigate again - but
hopefully that will not be necessary."
Mr Stypulkowski added that he was delighted the talks between
the officers and the charity had resulted in a satisfactory
outcome.Officers returned to the site yesterday having given
Clacton Animal Aid two weeks to introduce the new measures and see
if they were effective. |
