Visitors to three seafront car parks will benefit from free car parking.

Harry Shearing, Portfolio Holder for Technical and Procurement Services at TDC, has announced his intention to revoke the system of charges that are in place on 3 Car parks in Holland-on -Sea.

The car parks where it is proposed that charges should be removed are Hazelmere Road, York Road and Brighton Road.

The charges on these car parks were first introduced in 2006 but the car parks are little used and the income from the sites has been low.

Cllr Shearing said "Following representations from local Members and having reviewed the usage and income generated by the car parks, I have made an executive decision that the charges now be removed.

However this will still be subject to the necessary notice period and once that period has elapsed it is intended that they be redesignated as free car parks".
