Do you live in the rural areas, particularly in Central
and West Tendring, and want the chance to question members of
Tendring District Council's (TDC) Cabinet over issues that concern
you?
If so, then make a date to be at Great Bentley Village Hall on
Thursday April 23, 2009 from 7.30pm.
For TDC's Cabinet will be taking to the road again for one of
its regular visits around the District - outside of normal working
hours.
There will be 30 minutes in which residents will have the
opportunity to quiz Members at the start of the meeting. They will
also have the chance to talk to the Councillors, once the meeting
is finished, over refreshments.
David Lines, Leader of TDC, said he hoped that people living in
the villages around Great Bentley - as well as local residents -
make the effort to turn out next week.
"This is part of an on-going programme of Cabinet meetings away
from Clacton Town Hall and during the evening for those who cannot
attend during the day because of work commitments," he said.
"We are keen to get out amongst our residents to listen to what
they have to say and answer any questions they might have for
us."
Cllr Lines said meetings in other areas have been productive and
he - and the other Portfolio Holders - look forward to speaking
with members of our rural communities.
The next evening Cabinet meeting (after Great Bentley) will be
at the Venture Centre 2000, Bromley Road, Lawford, on May 28, 2009,
also at 7.30pm.
